area health education centers

Area Health Education Centers are programs that enhance access to quality health care, by improving the supply and distribution of healthcare professionals through community/academic educational partnerships.  There are three AHEC organizations serving the Mid-Atlantic Region.  Each develops their own programs and priorities based upon the healthcare workforce needs of their regions.
